From Ruin to Splendor

Union League Club of Chicago

65 West Jackson Boulevard, Chicago, Illinois 60604

Frederick Fursman, Mazie under the Boughs, 1915. M. Christine Schwartz Collection.

After falling into significant disrepair, the renovated Illinois Governor's Mansion re-opended this July with a first-of-its kind art exhibit, Art of Illinois, featuring over 100 pieces of art created by Illinois artists, including more than 20 pieces loaned from private collections. Illinois First Lady Diana Rauner, Mansion Curator Justin Blanford, and Art of Illinois co-curator Dr. Wendy Greenhouse tell their story of this momentous project.

The event begins with an 11:30 a.m. reception followed by lunch and the program at noon. Please note: the Club adheres to a no denim or athletic wear dress code policy.
