To coincide with the exhibition Barbara Jones-Hogu: Resist, Relate, Unite 1968–1975, the first solo museum exhibition of the artist’s work, DePaul Art Museum is also publishing the first monograph exploring Jones-Hogu’s oeuvre. Design by Candor Arts, the volume features essays by art historian Rebecca Zorach, Tate Modern Curator of International Art Zoe Whitley, and Chicago artist Faheem Majeed. DePaul Art Museum hosts a book release featuring a panel dialogue by the catalogue contributors during which they’ll discuss facets of Jones-Hogu’s artistry from their varying perspectives.
