Join the Minneapolis Institute of Arts for a screening of the documentary Hairy Who and the Chicago Imagists, which provides a lively introduction to Chicago’s vibrant art scene of the late 1960s and 1970s including debates about the marginalization of artists working outside mainstream art centers. A discussion follows with Tomeka Reid (composer of the documentary’s critically-acclaimed soundtrack), animator Lilli Carré, and film director Leslie Buchbinder.
