This day-long event of short talks, interactive gallery experiences, and creative responses to the Art Institute’s renowned permanent collection features museum experts, scholars in art history, artists, and thought leaders working in fields beyond the humanities, as well as a crowdsourced roster of community members. Programs activate the entire museum -- the galleries, auditoria, study rooms, and other public spaces -- and expand access and dialogue on the deep and lasting contributions of Chicago artists and designers on American culture and society.
