At this hands-on workshop, create your own cathedral (or other structure of your choosing) inspired by the art of Aldo Piacenza.
After a group viewing and discussion of Piacenza’s works in Intuit’s current exhibition, Chicago Calling: Art Against the Flow, teaching artist Chrissy Gray-Rodriguez guides participants through step-by-step instructions for building structures using cardboard and assorted upcycled materials. After your building is constructed, explore your personal style, using Piacenza’s cathedrals as a catalyst, to embellish the exterior architectural details of your design. All supplies are included. No art experience required.
