Chicago has a deep and diverse history of street art, with reams of hyper-local cultural workers expressing their city’s stories in venues and through media often omitted from mainstream canon of art history. Join muralist Max Sansing, photographer Oscar Arriola, and graffitist Stef Skills for a deep dive into Chicago’s street art scene. This program is moderated by Tempestt Hazel, a Chicago-based arts writer and curator.

The program is accompanied by the pop-up exhibition Chicago Street Art, on display on the ground floor of the Chicago Athletic Association.

This program is presented as part of FallFest GRAPHIC! for which the Terra Foundation for American Art is the Lead Partner. Click here to view the full roster of Art Design Chicago programming presented by the Chicago Humanities Festival as part of Fallfest 2018.
