What is distinct about Chicago and its communities that is uniquely manifested in its art and design? The University of Chicago Graham School presents Art Speaks, a free lecture series and digital archive centered on that question. Drawing on themes and material from Art Design Chicago exhibitions and featuring experts in academia and applied fields, Art Speaks lectures focus on four thematic areas: Modernism in Chicago, Ethnic Communities and Chicago Art, Chicago as Part of National and Global Culture, and Historical Development of Art in Chicago.
